The Angels led 5-3 until the Twins 5th, when Vic Power reached on an error by Billy Moran and scored when Bob Allison singled. Julio Navarro replaced Chance and another Minnesota run scored on a wild pitch to tie the game. Los Angeles regained the lead in the 7th when Bob Sadowski hit an infield single with two men on, both of whom scored. Bernie Allen hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the 9th and it was again a tied game. The Angels made it 9-7 in the 11th, but the Twins tied it a third time in their half of the inning. In the Minnesota 13th Allison reached on an error by Leon Wagner, went to third when Allen singled, and scored when Eli Grba walked George Banks with the bases juiced.
